This outfit I am posting I have had in mind for months now, so please enjoy it...
For some weird reason, I can't seem to take the picture of this skirt off the website, so here's the link. The color to go with this outfit would be white.
And just to be different...
Some cute flip-flops to go with:
And some accessories. (Keep in mind, as I said before, "Just to be different.")
1, 2, 3... how many strands do you need?
Actually this purse is kinda cute. :)
And last but not least, for those of you that would like to see my essay here it is:
Modesty Played Out
A thirteen-year-old boy once said, “Modest girls are always more pretty to me than immodest girls.” How you act and dress on the outside is a statement of who you are on the inside, it is modesty played out. It is the condition of your heart played out in something tangible that people look at and get an accurate impression of you. That impression you’re leaving is either going to reflect Jesus or reflect your flesh getting the better part of you.
It’s hard to be modest when you flirt with guys and wear clothes that lure them. In addition, if you’re looking for a godly guy, dressing immodestly wouldn’t be a way to get one. But don’t dress for guys. Don’t dress for the godly guys or for the others. Dress to glorify GOD! Hence, where is your heart when it comes to modesty? Do you want or try to look like the world? Do you try to draw attention to yourself? Why do you want to buy that piece of clothing? Do you put that certain piece of clothing on to please someone? Instead of focusing on all this, seek to glorify God in what you wear and how you act.
Modesty is not a joke. Modesty is not pride, ego, and arrogance. Modesty is not craving recognition and attention. Modesty is not about outward appearance. Modesty is following Jesus. It is humility, meekness, purity, and showing His qualities on the outside, through the way you act, walk, talk, and dress. In fact, modesty is about being different from this world, that is, reflecting the light of Jesus in the darkness.
Modesty is way more than clothes. I think we girls let fashion get a little too important, and it blinds us from seeing the real meaning of modesty. Jesus, even though He was God, did not demand and cling to His rights as God, He made Himself nothing; He took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminals death on the cross; that is humilty which is a big part of being modest. Can we do that? Can we humble ourselves and take the lower place whether it means not putting on this or that piece of clothing or just dying to ourself in whatever circumstance? If you’re looking to be modest, my advice would be to adopt the mindset of Christ. Search your heart to see what your motives really are.
